La Capitale Insurance and Financial Group has announced that it is supporting the 2017 Special Olympics Québec Summer Games as a financial partner.

“As a major player in the community, La Capitale’s financial involvement with the 2017 Special Olympics Québec Summer Games is perfectly natural,” said Jean St-Gelais, La Capitale's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Our foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals, in particular those with an autism spectrum disorder or an intellectual disability, youth at risk and vulnerable seniors. Through these games, we see an opportunity to raise awareness among the population of the potential of people with intellectual disabilities and promote their inclusion in our society.”

La Capitale’s participation as a financial partner coupled with the involvement of many other partners will lead to the arrival of more than 1,000 athletes who will compete in approximately 10 events this summer in Quebec City.
