Robert Lamoureux, Chair of Foresters Financial Board of Directors, announced on Dec. 18 the appointment of James Boyle as Foresters new President and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment will be effective Jan. 8, 2018.

Boyle, a CPA, has more than 30 years of financial services experience, including many years with Manulife Financial and John Hancock in various roles. He became President & CEO of John Hancock in 2008 and retired from the company in 2012. Since then, he has worked in private and venture capital investing. Most recently, he was CEO of an early-stage healthcare technology startup, Zillion Group Inc. Boyle joined Foresters board of directors in June.

Rigorous internal and external search
