iA Financial Group will donate $125,000 to one of ten charitable organizations as part of a contest to mark the company’s 125th anniversary.

125 Canadian organizations submitted a community project, which were then analyzed by a committee. The committee selected ten organizations, one of which will receive the donation towards their project.

Strongly committed to their communities

“I would like to personally thank all the organizations who have taken the time to submit their project. It’s touching to see so many people who are strongly committed to the well-being of their community,” says Yvon Charest, president and CEO of iA Financial. “To the organizations that weren’t selected, we would like to wish them all the best in the continuing pursuit of their goals and we wish the best of luck to our ten finalists.”

Ten finalists

The ten finalists are YWCA Metro Vancouver, Distress Centre Calgary, Bullying Ends Here, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association Foundation, Victory Neighbourhood, Baluchon Alzheimer, Laura Lémerveil, le Diplôme avant la Médaille (DAM), and Free Spirit Therapeutic Riding Association (FSTRA).

Until Nov. 30, members of the public will be voting for the organization that inspires them most. The winner will be announced Dec. 11 and will receive a donation of $125,000. The other finalists will each be awarded a donation of $12,500.
