iA Financial Group announced Sept. 7 the appointment of Philippe Sarfati to the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer, effective Sept. 21.
Previously this position was held by Geneviève Turcotte, who accepted a new role as a vice-president in iA’s Dealer Services division, said Marie-Annick Bonneau, Head of Investor Relations, to the Insurance Portal.
Sarfati has more than 30 years of experience in risk management. He joins iA from Concentra Bank. He held the position of EVP and Chief Risk Officer at Concentra for over three years. Safarti has also previously worked for the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions as Senior Director of the Supervision Support Group (SSG).

In a changing environment, he will continue to advance our strong risk management practices," stated Denis Ricard, President and CEO of iA Financial Group.
Safarti will be a member of the Executive Committee of iA Financial Group, chaired by Ricard.
