Chicago-based Hub International Limited announced Feb. 10 that it has acquired the assets of Quebec-based, employee benefits consulting firm, Azur Consulting Services Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in Longueuil, Quebec, Azur also provides group health and benefits solutions to its clients. The company’s president, Paul Ethier, will join Hub International Quebec Limited.

“This move continues to advance Hub’s ongoing Canadian employee benefits growth and services strategy to expand its best-in-class employee benefits and retirement solution to address the challenges clients are facing in the market,” the company said in a statement.

This acquisition is one of several made by Hub International in recent months as it pursues an expansion strategy in the Canadian employee benefits space. In addition to Azur, since the beginning of the year, Hub has announced the acquisitions of British Columbia-based RHC Insurance Brokers Ltd. and RHC Insurance Brokers (Cranbrook) Ltd. (RHC) and Alberta-based Benefex Consulting Inc
