Following closely on the heels of another acquisition announced earlier this week, Hub International Limited announced June 4 that it has acquired Nova Scotia-based Salvatore Insurance Brokers Ltd., a formerly family-owned commercial insurance agency.
Specializing in the transportation industry – specifically providing broker services to the commercial trucking industry in Atlantic Canada, while also providing business insurance and contractor’s insurance – the firm, based in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, is expected to support Hub’s specialty practices business by strengthening the company’s existing capabilities in commercial auto and fleet insurance. Salvatore’s president, Christina Salvatore, and her team will join Hub’s Atlantic region business, reporting to the president of Hub Ontario.
The terms of Hub’s acquisition agreement with Salvatore were not disclosed.
