Great West Life has renamed its distribution organization the Advisory Network. This organization serves Great West Life, Canada Life and London Life. The change was announced March 24 in a message to advisors from Nick Pszeniczny, Executive Vice-President, Advisory Network.

Pszeniczny, formerly the leader of the Individual Distribution and Marketing, stated that the name change is part of a “transformational journey” the insurers have embarked on as an organization. In addition to introducing the Advisory Network name, this journey saw the creation “of three key business units – Group Customer, Individual Customer and Strategic Customer Marketing – back in November. More leadership appointments were announced earlier this month,” wrote Pszeniczny in his message.

The importance of advice

He explained that the new name “better speaks to what we do – provide you the tools and support you need to succeed in your business. This includes areas like compensation, technology, compliance and more. It also highlights the importance of advice, relationships and teamwork in our overall success.”

Two appointments

Pszeniczny also announced two new appointments to the Advisory Network team. Mike Cunneen will lead Wholesaling and Product Solutions. Most recently, Cunneen held the position of Senior Vice-President, Freedom 55 Financial/Wealth and Estate Planning Group.

Dave Kent will lead Advisory Network Distribution. Most recently, Mike was Vice-President and senior sales officer, Individual Insurance, Product Sales and Marketing. “Additional changes and appointments will happen gradually and thoughtfully over the coming weeks and months” stated Pszeniczny in his message.
