Manulife Asset Management has appointed Frances Donald to the position of senior economist.

Donald assumed her new role at Manulife earlier this month. Based in Toronto, she will be involved in both Canadian and Asian economic analysis and forecasting activities. She will report to the company's chief economist, Megan Greene.

Frances DonaldScotiabank, where she produced a variety of daily and weekly publications with a focus on financial markets and economic strategy. Prior to this, she worked at Pavilion Global Markets, Deloitte LLP, Roubini Global Economic, and the Bank of Canada. Donald was born in Montreal, speaks English and French fluently, and has a BA in economics from Queen's University as well as an MA in economics from New York University.
