The FP Canada Research Foundation (formerly known as the FP Foundation) has announced its Board of Directors for 2019/2020.

John De Goey of Toronto has been appointed Chair of the Board. A Portfolio Manager with Wellington Altus Private Wealth in Toronto, De Goey has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2017, most recently serving as Vice Chair. He holds the CFP and CIM designations and is an FP Canada Fellow.

As Chair, De Goey succeeds François Beauregard, CFP, who is stepping down from the Board after serving as Chair for the 2018/2019 fiscal year. Caroline Dabu, based in Toronto, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Dabu has served on the Foundation’s Board since 2017.

Carolyn Fallis, CFP, based in Toronto is joining the Foundation’s Board as the FP Canada Board Representative.

Funds and disseminates financial planning research

“The Board of Directors provides leadership to enable the Foundation to achieve its mission of funding and disseminating financial planning research for the benefit of Canadians,” says Joan Yudelson, CFP, Executive Director of the FP Canada Research Foundation. “Thank you to François Beauregard for his commitment to the Board.
