The Insurance Journal Publishing Group is proud to announce the launch of the Insurance Vanguard Awards, an initiative designed to shine a spotlight on life insurance professionals who embody the highest standards of the profession.

In a complex and ever-changing financial environment, advisors play a vital role in the lives of families, entrepreneurs, and retirees. Beyond providing financial protection, they contribute to future planning, risk prevention, and the economic health of communities.

The Insurance Vanguard Awards aim to recognize the women and men who, day after day, build trust-based relationships, innovate in their practice, and elevate the profession through their example.

For the Insurance Journal Publishing Group, this initiative is a concrete way to celebrate a profession that is essential—yet too often underrecognized in society.

The Insurance Vanguard Awards will be presented in three categories:

  • Lifetime Vanguard Award
  • Distinction Vanguard Award
  • Rising Star Vanguard Award

The nomination period will run from May to August. Finalists will be announced in September. Winners will be selected by an independent jury composed of respected industry leaders, whose in-depth understanding of the life insurance profession allows them to evaluate submissions with the utmost rigor.

Award recipients will be honoured at the Canada Sales Congress, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Centre, during a luncheon gathering of the leaders of the insurance and financial services industries.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to raise public recognition of the profession, encourage excellence, and contribute to its appeal among new generations.

I invite all interested insurance professionals to submit their application directly via this dedicated website: https://insurance-portal.ca/galas/insurance-vanguard-awards/#/

I also encourage executives and industry leaders to nominate professionals who deserve to be recognized by their peers.
