The Financial Planning Standards Council (FPSC) announced Sept. 21 that Dawn Hawley, CFP, has been chosen as the only recipient of the Fellow of the FPSC distinction for 2017.

Hawley is a financial planner with Angus Watt Advisory Group – National Bank Financial, located in Edmonton. She has worked in the field for over 35 years. She served on the FPSC board of directors for eight years, and was chair from 2015 to 2017.  Hawley also served on FPSC’s Professional Practice Working Group.

Significant contributions to profession

“FPSC is pleased to recognize Dawn for her significant contributions to the financial planning profession in Canada,” says FPSC president and CEO Cary List. “We thank Dawn for helping build and shape the financial planning profession.”

Hawley was selected for the lifelong distinction for having helped advance the FPSC’s goal to advance CFP professional standards, and by practicing such standards throughout her career.
