The Cowan Insurance Group has helped to raise $107,000 to support mental health initiatives.

The insurance brokerage raises money for different non-profit organizations each year at its Cowan Charity Classic golf tournaments in Waterloo and Ottawa. The donations are matched by The Cowan Foundation, which was created in 1995 to honour the company's founder Frank Cowan

This year, the money is going to support mental health programs for young people at Lutherwood in Waterloo Region and the Youth Services Bureau in Ottawa.

“Mental health services and programs are vitally important to the success of our communities,” says Cowan Insurance Group president Heather McLachlin. “Lutherwood and Youth Services Bureau are doing great things to support and educate at-risk youth and their families struggling with mental health challenges. We are proud to contribute to the continued services and programs offered by these organizations to help affected youth and their families overcome obstacles related to mental health.”
