Foresters has appointed Cheryl Neal to be Executive Vice President and President of North American Life Insurance. She will be responsible for leading distribution both in Canada and the United States, as well as for insurance operations, product development, and pricing.
Tony Garcia, President and CEO of Foresters, announced that Neal had been named to the role on April 29. Garcia points out that he created the position as part of a restructuring that took place last year. “When I joined this organization last year, I identified the need for a visionary leader to helm the new North American Life Insurance division,” he says. “With extensive financial services experience and a proven track record of building performance-driven teams, I know she is the right choice to help lead Foresters into sustainable, profitable growth.”
Before joining Foresters, Neal served as Executive Vice President of Individual Markets and President of Individual Life at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Prior to that, she held positions with several financial services companies including HSBC, Morgan Stanley, and Discover Card. She has a bachelor of science degree in marketing and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
