On Feb. 25, HSBC Global Asset Management Canada Limited plans to lower the trailer and management fees charged on its HSBC Global Equity Fund. The fund's investment strategy will also change, moving away from an active quantitative strategy to one that invests primarily in the HSBC Economic Scale Index – World.
Management fees for the Investor Series and the Advisor Series of the fund will drop from 2.25% to 1.25%, while management fees for the Manager Series, and the Premium Series will decline from 1.25% and 1.75% to 0.75% and 0.95% respectively. As for trailer fees, they will be lowered from 1% to 0.5% for the Investor Series and the Advisor Series of the fund, while the trailer fees for the Premium Series will go from 0.75% to 0.25%. There will be no change in the trailer fees for the fund’s Manager Series.
