Mackenzie Financial Corporation has appointed two new portfolio managers to its Cundill investment boutique to replace Lawrence Chin and Andrew Massie.
Mackenzie announced on March 24 that Lawrence Chin and Andrew Massie are leaving Cundill. Chin is senior vice president and co-lead of the Cundill team and has been with Mackenzie for ten years. The company says that he is leaving at the firm at the end of April “to pursue a career opportunity outside of the mutual fund industry”. Massie is also a senior vice president and the other co-lead of the Cundill team; after 30 years in the mutual fund business, he will be retiring at the end of August.
New team co-leaders
In their stead, Jonathan Norwood and Richard Wong will join Mackenzie Investments as the vice presidents and portfolio managers who will co-lead the Mackenzie Cundill team. Each of the two men have 18 years of experience, and they both hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Norwood and Wong will manage the Mackenzie Cundill Value Fund and the Mackenzie Cundill Value Class, and they will join the portfolio management team for the Mackenzie Global Concentrated Equity Fund, Mackenzie Global Concentrated Equity Class, and Mackenzie Global Diversified Equity Class.
