After 40 years in the industry, BMO Assurance's vice president of business development Caron Czorny is retiring.

"I have known Caron for 17 years, and I was thrilled when she joined us in 2008." writes BMO Assurance president and CEO Peter McCarthy in a memo announcing Czorny’s departure. "Over the last seven years, Caron has been a marvellous colleague and a valuable member of my management team. She contributed to our success and strengthened our reputation in the brokerage market."

Daniel Walsh is taking over the business development role, where he will continue to build relationships with managing general agents and advisors. Walsh first joined BMO in 2007 as regional vice president for Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. He has a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from Laval University, holds the Certified Senior Advisor designation, is licensed to sell life insurance, and is a member of the Association de la planification fiscale et financière.

“Daniel will also be an important member of my management team. He will help us to find new ways to grow our business as the industry evolves over the coming years,” says McCarthy.  "I am certain that Daniel will help our business development team continue to excel and provide exceptional service."
