Quebec regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers, has invited members of the investment industry to a consultation session on Consultation Paper 81-408 – Consultation on the Option of Discontinuing Embedded Commissions.
In an invitation issued April 18, AMF Investment Funds said it is seeking feedback and opinions on the potential effects of the considered option on investors and market participants, and alternative options or measures that could sufficiently manage or mitigate the investor protection and market efficiency issues set out in the consultation papers.
To be held May 12
The consultation will be held May 12, 2017 from 8:45 to noon at 800 Square-Victoria (tour de la Bourse) in Montreal. Those registered to attend will receive a briefing document a few days before. AMF Investment Funds asks those who intend to participate to fill out registration forms.
