Through its subsidiary Dehoney Financial Group, which specializes in group benefits, Navacord has acquired Pacific Employee Benefits (PEB), a firm based in northwestern British Columbia.
The PEB team joined Dehoney on June 1, with the transaction officially announced by Navacord on July 10.
Founded in 2024 and located in Smithers, PEB specializes in group insurance and retirement plans, serving private businesses, municipalities, and Indigenous communities throughout the province.
Smithers is approximately halfway along Highway 16, which connects Prince George and Prince Rupert, a distance of 718 km.
PEB President Dale Clarke says the partnership with Navacord will enable the firm to expand its range of services.
Dehoney, founded in 1980, focuses on group insurance and retirement savings products. The firm is led by Erin Gunn.
This is Navacord’s 10th transaction in 2024, with the previous one announced at the end of May.
