Yan Charbonneau, president of the Quebec financial planning firm Groupe AFL, has been appointed treasurer of the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (CAILBA).
Charbonneau begins his new role in March, and he will be responsible for updating the organisation's financial statements as well as for maintaining its financial health. He is the second person from Quebec to join the organization, following Groupe Cloutier’s Michel Kirouac.
The appointment comes after several managing general agents from Quebec have joined CAILBA in recent months, including Financière S_entiel, Groupe AFL, and Pro Vie Assurances.
