The 2021-2022 board of governors of the Conseil des fonds d’investissement du Québec (CFIQ) announced that the board has elected Dynamic Funds regional vice president for Eastern Canada, Eric Hallé, to be the board of governors’ new chair.

The CFIQ is the Quebec arm of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). All appointments to its board of governors took effect September 1.

“I am proud to be elected chair by my fellow governors to help lead CFIQ’s ongoing efforts to achieve positive policy outcomes through these challenging times,” Halle said in a statement announcing his appointment. “The board looks forward to continuing to support CFIQ’s stakeholder consultations, with the ultimate objective of helping investors achieve their financial goals.”

The board of governors also elected Sébastien Vallée, senior manager of the investment solutions division at Desjardins Société de placement, to be the board’s second vice chair. Paul Bourque, president and CEO of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, will also remain on the board as ex-officio first vice chair.
