The Canadian chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) has launched a certificate program in estate and trust administration.

On September 1, online registration opened for STEP Canada's Certificate in Estate and Trust Administration (CETA). The program is designed for estate administrators, trust officers, junior trust officers, retail bankers, law clerks, junior associates, paralegals, wealth management sales representatives, and administrative assistants who work in estates and trusts. The first course in the certificate program, Foundations of Estate and Trust Administrations, will begin in November.

"We are thrilled with the response that we are getting about the launch of the new CETA program and have been working hard to build this in-demand, specialized offering for estate and trust professionals." says Gillian Musk, TEP, national director of fiduciary trust management at BMO Harris Private Banking and chair of STEP Canada's CETA program advisory committee. "Upon completion, students will have gained professional recognition and will have an enhanced ability to service clients in today’s dynamic market."
