Manulife Asset Management has appointed Jamie Robertson to be a senior portfolio manager at its Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) subsidiary. Robertson will oversee the firm's Canadian asset allocation business.

PSG handles all of the the multi-asset-class strategies for Manulife Asset Management globally. Robertson's Canadian asset allocation mandate at the firm will include portfolio management, research and development, and he will also be responsible for supporting product development, business development, and trading.

Robertson has an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal, and holds the Canadian Investment Manager Designation (C.I.M.) from the Canadian Securities Institute. Most recently he was Chief Investment Officer with McLean and Partners in Calgary, and prior to that he served as Vice President of Proprietary Investments (Equities) at Manulife Financial.
