Looking back, looking forwardBy Serge Therrien | November 18 2006 07:50PM
This issue marks an impressive milestone for The Insurance Journal – with 10 full years behind us, we are now embarking on our next decade of publication. Looking back over the past 10 years, the formerly staid and stable insurance industry has undergone a number of fundamental and radical changes.
The goal of The Insurance Journal is to bring our readers, Canada’s financial advisors, the strategic and timely news they need to adapt and prosper as the industry evolves. From the demutualization that has led to consolidation and the rise of mega insurers; the phasing out of the career system and the rise of the independent distribution system; to major new product trends such as the arrival of critical illness insurance, The Insurance Journal has been there to cover the story.
As a business publication, we take great pride in the fact that many of our readers consider us the voice of their industry. We take this mandate and mission to heart and will do our very best to continue providing the strategic information you need to navigate the developments that the next 10 years and beyond will bring.
On this special occasion, The Insurance Journal team would like to take the opportunity to thank you – our readers and advertisers – for your continued interest and loyalty. This is what has made this magazine a success and an important part of your industry.
