Software developer Kronos Technologies has opened an office in Toronto. The firm, which specializes in developing web and mobile applications for financial and insurance professionals, has also appointed a new CCO.

On August 31 Kronos announced that, given the rapid growth it has experienced outside of its home province of Quebec, it plans to open an office in Toronto. "We have made the decision to open an official place of business this coming fall. This office will allow us to establish a stronger foothold in Canada’s largest financial centre, while being closer to our clients to answer their needs," says Kronos CEO François Levasseur.

Kronos has also hired Ray Adamson to be its Chief Customer Officer (CCO). Adamson has 20 years’ worth of experience in insurance distribution and has worked with companies such as TD Bank, Great-West Life, The Dominion Insurance, and more recently for BlueSun.

"I’m very happy to join the Kronos family. I’m impressed with their commitment to their clients and with their core values," comments Adamson. "I’ve worked with thousands of advisors, wholesalers, and executives to increase client acquisition, retention and relationship management capabilities and I know that clients will benefit from the Kronos focus as a fintech”.

In addition to opening an office in Toronto, later this fall Kronos will move its head office to a new location in the Beenox Tower (Édifice Beenox) in Québec City, which it says will be able to welcome more than one hundred employees and will provide "a creative and collaborative working environment".
