Asset International has decided to consolidate all of its data and research companies, including the Canadian firm Investor Economics, and rebrand them as Strategic Insight.

Asset International's CEO Joel Mandelbaum announced on September 9 that the firm's various individually-branded subsidiaries will be restructured into a single business with multiple offices.

30 year heritage

"The new name reflects the organization’s expanding focus on delivering industry-leading business intelligence," he said. "Building on our 30 year heritage, Strategic Insight (SI) will focus on the development of our market leading business intelligence and marketing enterprise platform to support our clients’ product management, manufacturing, sales and distribution operations."

In an accompanying message Investor Economics president and CEO Goshka Folda explained that, for clients in Canada, the only change will be in the company's name and logo.

"No change to the products and services"

"There will be no change to the products and services we currently provide to the financial services industry in Canada," she said. "Over time, harnessing the combined benefits of our integrated brand, we will expand the range of products and services we provide, enabling us to further meet the data, information and advisory needs of our Canadian clients. The company’s legal entities in Canada will remain in place and, as such, there will be no change to existing agreements."

While the name change will result in new email addresses for subsidiary firms, Folda says messages sent to old addresses will be rerouted to the appropriate recipient automatically.
