Invesco is partnering with Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, to help youth in marginalized communities across the country, announced the company this week.

"We are proud to extend our partnership with the Toronto Blue Jays to include the team's philanthropic work," says Aysha Mawani, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Invesco Canada. "At Invesco, we believe the more you put into life, the more you get out of it. The mission of Jays Care Foundation helps bolster that belief among young Canadians who might not otherwise have access to sporting facilities."

Helping youth through baseball

Jays Care helps youth in marginalized communities develop through baseball. In 2017, Jays Care will invest $6 million nationwide, impacting the lives of 65,000 children and youth.

Jays Care has programs for low-income families, youth in northern or remote communities, young women and people suffering from physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Through this initiative, Jays Care hopes to teach youth the values of teamwork, dedication, leadership and resiliency.
