Six business leaders were inducted into the IIAC Investment Industry Hall of Fame on Oct. 26.

The recipients were Catherine Delaney, president of Delaney Capital Management Ltd., Ned Goodman, co-founder of Beutel, Goodman & Company and founder of Dundee Corporation, Stephen Jarislowsky, founder of Jarislowsky, Fraser Limited, William Wilder, former president of Wood Gundy Inc., John Pearce Bunting, a posthumous inductee who was a pioneer for the Canadian investment industry, and Peter Cundill, a posthumous inductee who was founder of Peter Cundill & Associates Ltd. and the Cundill Value Fund.

Excellence and integrity

“This year’s inductees are recognized for outstanding achievement in their professional and personal lives,” said Ian Russell, president and CEO of The Investment Industry Association of Canada. “They have distinguished themselves as leaders in the various sides of the industry. Their contributions on the national and community stages and their everlasting mark of excellence and integrity on the investment industry warrant the accolades they [received].”

Top Under 40

In addition, IIAC has announced Matthew Rodier, as the recipient of the IIAC Top Under 40 Award. Based in Montreal, Rodier, is a Certified Retirement Specialist and Portfolio Manager with Rodier Asset Management, part of TD Wealth.

“Matthew’s achievements in investment and retirement planning, customer service excellence, mentoring young employees, commitment to community service and his charitable work were all determining factors in being selected the 2017 Award recipient,” said Russell. “Matthew embodies the ideals the IIAC Top Under 40 Award represents.”
