FP Canada announced March 19 the members of its President's List for the November 2019 sitting of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam. This honour recognizes candidates who received the best marks out of a record 1,389 candidates exam writers from across the country.

The new President’s List members are: Michelle Seymour of Calgary, Alberta in first place; Garrett Boekestyn of Listowel, Ontario in second place; and Trevor Skidmore of Winnipeg, Manitoba in third place.

They will be recognized at the Celebration of the Profession Dinner in Toronto scheduled for November 24.

“Congratulations to Michelle, Garrett and Trevor on this impressive achievement,” said Cary List, President and CEO of FP Canada. “Their exceptional performance on this rigorous exam demonstrates that they’re well prepared to provide Canadians with holistic financial planning advice at all levels of complexity.”

The CFP exam is offered twice per year in locations across Canada. The next sitting of the six-hour exam is scheduled to take place on June 4.
