Equitable Life of Canada now has an online application for term life insurance. The insurer says advisors are meant to work through the application alongside their clients.

Equitable announced the launch of EZcomplete, its new online application, on Feb. 29. In order to reduce the time it takes to finish the process, it has been designed to only ask the required questions. Besides eliminating the potential errors that arise in lengthy paper applications, the online app also allows clients to pay their initial premiums by credit card or Interac. In addition, EZcomplete includes eSignLive features which allow applicants to sign using a mouse, finger, or stylus.

“In our industry, it’s increasingly important to offer digital services that make it easier for advisors and their clients,” comments Karen Mason, senior vice-president of individual products at Equitable. “With EZcomplete, we’re providing advisors with an online application that is easy to complete, intuitive and reduces the chance of incorrect information or incomplete applications, as well as reducing the amount of paper produced.”
