Dynamic Funds launched its Global All-Terrain Fund on Sept. 15.

The new fund is managed by Dynamic's chief investment strategist Myles Zyblock, and uses a proprietary, rules-based approach to tactically invest in a wide range of asset classes all over the world. The company has rated the fund's risk to be low to medium.

The Dynamic Global All-Terrain Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and will hold exchange-traded funds (ETFs), fixed income investments, cash, and cash equivalents. The manager will select a concentrated set of assets classes using price momentum, price persistence, and cross-asset breadth metrics. Dynamic says the portfolio will be actively rebalanced to maintain current buy and sell signals.

“The attractiveness of global markets to diversify Canadian portfolios is also met with the challenge to invest methodically and optimally across a variety of global asset classes,” says Dynamic’s president and CEO Jordy Chilcott. “A rules-based investment approach is an active way to lessen behavioural biases when investing in a larger and potentially noisier set of global opportunities.”
